The desire to have ultra-white teeth is increasing day by day among many people. It leads people to use different bleaching products ranging from over-the-counter products to dental prescriptions and procedures. However, as much as it is seems easy to keep these shiny white pearls in the mouth, it takes more than just a visit to the dentist, or a tooth whitening product, to maintain them; this is because if the bleached teeth are not taken care of, they can easily stain again.

What you need to have those ultra-white teeth

For ultra-white teeth, you must stop using tobacco or tobacco products, and betel quid. These two substances cause stains that adhere to teeth causing discoloration. Therefore, to maintain that natural white color, you must avoid tobacco and betel quid.

Reduce the consumption of tea and coffee. Tea and coffee, just like tobacco, also stain teeth. Even after a bleaching episode, these staining substances make the teeth discolored, making the desired ultra-white teeth stained.

Another way to maintain  ultra-white teeth is to reduce the consumption of high-acid fruits. These include citrus fruits. They cause loss of tooth structure which can be exhibited as a change in color. Soft drinks that contain acids also have the same effects on teeth. It is suggested that taking energy drinks is not necessary unless you are a sportsman, since the positive benefits are less than the negative effects they have on teeth.

Sometimes people may think that scrubbing teeth harder will result in better looking ultra-white teeth. This is false, since scrubbing too hard can eventually remove the superficial layer of teeth, and expose the darker underlying layer, which when exposed can cause tooth sensitivity. Brushing  harder also erodes only some part of the teeth, the area close to the gum, leaving the other parts still affected by the stain.

Sometimes even the use of toothpaste alone is enough to make you have ultra-white teeth. You should look for toothpaste that does not have any harsh abrasives, because abrasives damage the layers of the teeth. The toothpaste should instead have bleaching chemicals. It is these chemicals that act on the tooth , helping you have ultra-white teeth.

Finally, you can visit a dental office for home bleaching kits, or for in-office bleaching procedures. In-office bleaching can give you ultra-white teeth in as short as one visit. The home bleaching solutions may take longer periods of more than one week.
